The City of Kalona is being recognized for the energy efficiency of the Community Center.

City Administrator Ryan Schlabaugh informed the city council at their recent meeting that they’ve received the 2019 Excellence in Efficiency award from Alliant Energy. The award celebrates how the efficiency of the building exceeds that of the former facility. The city will receive their award Thursday, September 26th in Des Moines.
