A southeast Iowa restaurant has received recognition on the world stage. Tuscan Moon in Kalona, owned by Paula and Warren Miller, was given an Award of Excellence from Wine Spectator Magazine. The establishment is one of just 10 in the state of Iowa and 3,800 worldwide. The publication awards restaurants that offer at least 90 selections of wine, featuring a well chosen assortment of quality producers, along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style. Tuscan Moon features more than 200 selections in their wine cellar. The business offers a space for private dinners in the cellar and features six wine dinners a year that have had guests including California vineyard owners attend.
