One person was taken to the University of Iowa Hospital following a two-vehicle wreck near Kalona. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 11:11 p.m. Saturday two vehicles collided on Highway 1 at the Johnson Washington Road north of Kalona. The two drivers were Wanda Gingerich of Kalona and Adam Bwayo of Iowa City. One person was taken by Washington County Ambulance to the hospital. Washington County Sheriff’s personnel, Kalona QRS, and Kalona Fire Department assisted at the scene. Both vehicles were driveable.
