A portion of G36 will be closed for repairs. The Washington County Engineer’s Office announced that roadway patching work was originally set to begin on September 3rd, however it has been delayed in conjunction with the Iowa DOT work that will be done on Highway 1 near Kalona.

Crews will close 220th Street, also called G36, from the Highway 1 and 92 junction east to the 12th Street and Riverside Road intersection. The project is expected to last one to two weeks. Washington County road crews will complete the work. The official start date will be announced next week.
