
The Mid-Prairie volleyball team is back in action Thursday when they welcome Durant to Tim Grady Gymnasium in Wellman for their first conference match in 2019. The Golden Hawks enter the match at 4-0 overall after sweeping to the championship at the Keota tournament to start the year and then beating the rival Washington Demons three games to one last time out. On the season, the Hawks are led by Cassidy Hershberger with 14 kills. Landry Pacha has the team lead with 45 assists and Paige Peiffer leads the Golden Hawk defense with 11 digs.
Durant enters action with an overall record of 0-1. They lost to Riverdale High School last time out two sets to one. On the season, the Wildcats are led by Kira Schult with eight kills. Meg Koenig has the team lead with 25 assists and Brooklyn Bullard paces the Wildcat defense with 14 digs.
These two teams met a year ago with the Wildcats sweeping the Golden Hawks. Action begins at 7:15 Thursday night at Tim Grady Gymnasium in Wellman.
