A Riverside man was arrested on an Iowa City warrant on multiple charges months after pleading guilty to domestic abuse assault. According to the Washington County Communications Office, at 7:38 a.m. Tuesday, officers arrested 33-year-old Nikolas Steven Hahn Petersen in Riverside on three Iowa City Police Department warrants. Petersen is charged with domestic abuse assault impeding air or blood flow causing injury, theft in the second degree, child endangerment, obstruction of emergency communications, and two counts of unauthorized computer access. Bond was set at $2,000. He was taken to the Johnson County Jail.

According to court records, in 2018 in Johnson County, he plead guilty to assault causing bodily injury and he paid $359.70 in fines. And earlier this year he plead guilty to domestic abuse assault-injury or mental illness first offense and paid a fine of $382.19 and spent two days in jail.
