Eight former Washington Community School District staff members were recognized and thanked at the recent school board meeting. The 2019 retirees were applauded and Superintendent Willie Stone shared his sentiments, “Well over a hundred years of veterans, years put into the district. And we really appreciate everything that you’ve done, and everything you’ve done more so for our kids.” In total, the eight employees worked in the district for 196 years.
