Petitions to be on school board or city council ballots are due later this week. Petitions and affidavits must be filed with the school district or city clerk for the respective seat. Forms are due by 5 p.m. Thursday, September 19th. In the City of Washington, three seats will be on the ballot. They are currently held by Brendan DeLong in the third ward, Danielle Pettit-Majewski in the first ward, and Millie Youngquist as an at-large representative.

The four seats up for election on the Washington School Board are currently held by Eric Turner, Troy Suchan, Sonia Leyva, and Stephanie Ellingson. Ellingson is not seeking re-election. Election day is November 5th.
