The Winfield-Mt. Union volleyball team continued their strong play in weekend tournaments on Saturday, as they went 3-1 to finish second at Wilton.

In the round-robin tournament, the Wolves defeated Mount Pleasant (25-10, 25-15), Midland (25-9, 25-23), and Hillcrest Academy (25-10, 25-16) but fell to Wilton (17-25, 12-25). Jenna Buffington led the offense with 37 kills and Kayla Edwards recorded 50 assists. Melina Oepping had seven blocks and Kyndal Townsley nabbed 33 digs.

WMU is now 10-3 overall and travels to Columbus tomorrow.
