This week the Iowa Gaming Association is holding its 20th Annual Responsible Gaming Education Week. The theme for this year’s event is: It’s our Everyday Commitment. This program will be held at each of the 19 state-regulated casinos that make up the IGA, including the Riverside Casino and Golf Resort. The program is designed to promote responsible gambling.

Casinos are partnering with local gambling prevention counseling providers to supply training and resources to employees and casino patrons alike. Staff will also explain a self exclusion option to patrons. This option allows patrons who fear they are suffering from a gambling addiction to bar themselves from gambling at an establishment for either five years or a lifetime.
