The Sigourney-Keota football team puts their undefeated record on the line Friday when they welcome Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont to town for the final non-district matchup of the year.

The Cobras (3-0) have ran all over their opponents with 1,379 rushing yards in three games that ranks second in the state regardless of class. JD Stout has headlined the attack with 595 rushing yards and eight touchdowns while Sam Sieren is not far behind with 498 yards and six scores. The Cobras are averaging 55 points a night and only giving up 18. The Rockets are 1-2 and coming off of a 41-19 loss to Chariton last week. The offense isn’t afraid to air it out, as Thane Alexander has completed 20 of 32 passes for 400 yards and five touchdowns. Cobra head coach Jared Jensen tells KCII Sports what he expects from the Rockets. “We have had some battles the last couple years with them. They lost some really good seniors last year, but they still return some quality players. They are going to be a pass happy team so we have to be ready defensively.”

The action gets underway at 7 p.m. tonight in Sigourney.
