Candidates for local elections were finalized Thursday. School board and city council members across the state will be competing for votes on November 5. For the Kalona City Council, candidates include: Mark Robe, Jennell Bender, and Greg Schmitt

In the City of Riverside, Jeanine Redlinger, Edgar Mcguire and Lois Schneider are running for council seats with Allen Schneider running unopposed for mayor.  And the Highland School Board candidates are Mike Golden, Samantha Holden, Robert Schneider Jr., Kathy Butler, and Nate Robinson. Mid-Prairie school board candidates are Mary Allred, Denise Chittick, Angela Lamb, Jeremy Pickard, Marianne Schlabach, and Jeremy Gugel.
