The Lone Tree football team hits the road for the second straight week Friday when they travel to New London to battle the Tigers. Lone Tree comes into week four with an 0-3 overall record after a tough 29-26 loss at HLV last week. In that game with the Warriors, Harmon Miller led the way with 286 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns. On the season, Miller leads the Lions with 578 yards through the air at 40 of 75 for six touchdowns and a pair of picks. His favorite target is Keegan Edwards with 20 grabs for 211 yards and a pair of touchdowns. On the ground the Lions are led by Miller with 71 attempts for 136 yards and three touchdowns. Cale Yoder leads the Lone Tree defense with 36 tackles, nine tackles for loss and a sack.

New London comes into the game unbeaten at 3-0 after an incredible triple overtime 56-50 win at Roth Field in WACO last Friday to spoil the Warriors Homecoming. In that game the Tigers were led by Shae Summerfield with 313 yards and five touchdowns on 44 carries. New London is ranked No. 4 in this week’s class eight man poll from the Iowa Associated Press. For the season the Tigers are led by Ethan Streeter at five of 14 through the air for four touchdowns and an interception. Summerfield leads the way on the ground with 64 carries for 604 yards and 11 touchdowns. Blaise Porter and Gabe Carter each have three catches for a combined 146 yards and five touchdowns. Summerfield leads the Tiger defense with 17 and a half tackles, two for loss and two sacks. These two schools met a year ago with New London scoring a 53-6 win. Action begins tonight at 7p.m. at New London High School.
