Towers to improve Washington County’s emergency communication system will be discussed at the next Washington County Board of Supervisors meeting. A public hearing will be held regarding tower site equipment shelters for the communications project. The communications equipment and building projects are a combined $11.57 million.
Also on the supervisors’ agenda are proposed employee benefit changes, an application for a Riverboat Foundation grant, a road project contract, and a resolution for the Southeast Iowa Link Region 28E agreement. The SEIL board is changing with the addition of representatives including someone who uses the services provided and someone who has a child who uses the services. The change to the board is a reflection of the addition of children’s mental health services in the region as directed by the state. The meeting begins at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Washington County Courthouse.
