Iowa Department of Transportation bridge work on Highway 1 near Kalona has concluded. Work on the bridge over Camp Creek, three miles south of Highway 22, began on September 9th.  Work was predicted to take approximately two weeks. Work on the bridge finished on schedule. With this bridge back in working condition, a 32-mile detour including Highway 22, Highway 218, and Highway 92 will no longer be necessary.
