The Columbus Wildcat football team suffered their second straight setback Friday, falling to visiting North Cedar 33-8. The Wildcats put up 292 total yards of offense in the loss, but just 52 of those came on the ground. Bawi UK had a nice night through the air going five of 12 for 170 yards. He also scored the team’s lone touchdown on the ground. Mason Hodges led the Wildcat receiving corps with two grabs for 100 yards. Tucker Bright recorded seven and a half tackles to lead the Columbus defense. He also had an interception. North Cedar racked up 391 total yards of offense led by quarterback Ethan Sahr and his 11 of 18 night through the air for 247 yards and three touchdowns. With the loss, Columbus falls to 1-4 on the season and will host Van Buren on Friday.
