The Winfield-Mt. Union football team travels to English Valleys Friday for a showdown with the Bears on their Homecoming. The Wolves come into the game with an overall record of 1-3 on the year after a 48-22 loss to Iowa Valley last week. On the season WMU is led by Daunte Oepping through the air at 34 of 62 for 553 yards, four touchdowns and two interceptions. His favorite target is Juanito Piper with 14 catches for 132 yards and a touchdown. On the ground the Wolves are led by Oepping with 95 carries for 576 yards and 13 touchdowns. Piper has recorded 54 tackles, three for loss to lead the Wolves defense.

English Valleys comes into the game with an overall record of 3-1 after a 54-20 setback last week against HLV. For the season the Bears are led by Cole Stephenson at 39 of 74 through the air for 553 yards, nine touchdowns and four interceptions. His favorite target is Kaden Hall with 21 catches for 301 yards and six touchdowns. On the ground Beau Flander has 90 carries for 582 yards and seven touchdowns. These two teams met a year ago with the Bears taking a 74-18 win. Action begins Friday at 7p.m.
