The Burlington volleyball team has been a part of the Southeast Conference for a month, but they may have already outstayed their welcome from opponents. The Grayhounds have steamrolled competition and their latest victim was Washington on Tuesday.

Burlington took care of business on their home court in straight sets with scores of 25-14, 25-6, and 25-14. The Demons had a tough time stopping Angel Baylark and her 16 kills. Head Coach Lexa Mahr tells KCII Sports what makes them tough is their aggressiveness. “I think what makes them most difficult to play is they are always sending the ball back aggressively. They will set the ball up every opportunity they have and they won’t send anything over that sets up the opponent. That is something we haven’t seen a lot of this season.”

Burlington improves to 16-2 and Washington drops to 6-14. The Demons get back on the court Saturday at the Mid-Prairie tournament.
