A brief agenda awaits the Washington County Board of Supervisors at their weekly meeting. Two items are on the agenda, the first is a monthly report from WEMIGA. WEMIGA Waste manages the county’s recycling center. Over the summer the City of Washington began a new contract and a single-container recycling system for residents. Previously residents could sort their recycling or take it to the county site. In August, the city council voted to no longer allow city residents or businesses to take materials to the county facility as the cost to the city was $1,500 per month. That moratorium officially starts October 1st. The other agenda item is an application for a Washington County Riverboat Foundation grant. The meeting begins at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse Tuesday.
