The Southeast Iowa Super Conference tournament finals were played in Burlington on Saturday and WACO fell in the first round.
In the round of the final eight the Warriors could not keep up with Van Buren being swept 25-20 and 25-17. Selena Sayre had a big night for Van Buren with 15 kills. Molly McLaughlin led WACO with eight kills, Laney Graber had 18 assists, Aubri Garnsey recorded 13 digs, and the team was 36 of 40 serving.
The Warriors qualified for Saturday’s action after placing second at the preliminary round in Mediapolis on Thursday. They move to 15-6 on the season and get back on the court today against West Burlington.
