Hundreds of acres that could be annexed by the City of Kalona will be discussed next week. There will be a committee meeting regarding Kalona’s proposed annexation of Shiloh on, Tuesday September 8th at 6 p.m. at Shiloh. In August’s meeting, the City, Shiloh, and Marilyn Farms agreed to move forward with discussions that could result in Kalona absorbing nearly 220 acres of land. Discussions between the three entities are set to continue in the hopes of reaching a final agreement. One topic of concern is a cemetery on the property that would potentially need to be relocated. This meeting is open to the public.
