In their first matchup of the season, the Washington volleyball team could not find a rhythm against Fort Madison falling in four sets.
The Bloodhounds took the match with set scores of 25-18, 20-25, 25-11, and 25-9. Head Coach Lexa Mahr tells KCII Sports they were playing from behind in too many sets. “In set two we served aggressively right away and built a lead. In every other set we weren’t aggressive and let them score five or six points before fighting back.”
The Demons drop to 7-17 and get back on the court Tuesday at Burlington for the Southeast Conference tournament.
