The Hillcrest Academy Raven cross country team traveled to the Bud Williams Invitational Thursday hosted by Iowa City, City High on the University of Iowa cross country course in Iowa City. The Hillcrest girls were 11th of 12 competing teams with a score of 318 points, Dubuque Senior won the meet with 37 points. Top finish for the girls came from Leah Bontrager in 40th with a time of 21:18. Other finishers for the Ravens included Sarena Gerber 57th, Chloe Staley 98th, Julia Boller 102nd, Taryn Leichty 103rd and Ainsely Shaw 107th.

The Hillcrest boys were 12th of 12 teams with their score of 381 points. The team title went to Pleasant Valley with 39 points. Top finish for the Ravens came from Will Kolck in 111th with a time of 20:47. Other finishers included Jorge Canchola in 116th, Owen Swartzendruber 117th, Colby Harris 118th, Collin Miller 121st and Jesse 122nd. The Hillcrest boys and girls will next be in action Monday when they host their final home meet of the year.
