The New London football team had their way in the ground game to run past Winfield-Mt. Union last night 52-14.

The Wolves made a statement early drawing first blood on a 20 yard Daunte Oepping touchdown run, but the Tigers awoke and rallied off five straight scores to take a 36-6 advantage at the break. Oepping had the only score of the third on an 11-yard touchdown run, but the Tigers put the game out of reach in the fourth with two scampers that reached pay dirt. The senior finished six of 11 through the air for 88 yards and Jacob Ford had three receptions for 59. New London’s Shae Summerfield had a big day with 209 yards rushing and five touchdowns.

WMU drops to 1-6 and they get back on the gridiron Friday at HLV.
