The WACO School District is bringing back a tradition for the holiday season that began a year ago. The Santa Shop will be available again this year for students. The project uses donations of items valued at under $5. Students are then allowed to come in and purchase items from those donated to give as gifts to family and friends during the holidays. The purchases are gift bagged, labeled, and sent home to be put under the tree. Students also receive an envelope beforehand to take home and put together a shopping list. The Santa’s Workshop Committee is also looking for donations of men’s gifts, medium and large Christmas gift bags, monetary gifts, and volunteers who can help kids in the shop with picking out gifts. The Santa Shop will begin accepting donations during parent teacher conferences October 21st through the 24th and continue through November 22nd.
