The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawk boys and girls cross country teams travel to the Iowa City Kickers Complex tonight for the 2019 River Valley Conference Championship meet. The Mid-Prairie girls enter competition ranked No. 1 in the state in class 2A. Mid-Prairie is led by four ranked runners in their lineup with Marie Hostetler No. 1, Mitzi Evans No. 9, Abbagail Evans No. 19 and Ana Fleming No. 27. Joining the Golden Hawk girls in the field are No. 4 Monticello, No. 5 Iowa City Regina, No. 16 Cascade, No. 20 Tipton, West Branch, West Liberty, Durant, Wilton, North Cedar, Anamosa, Bellevue, Camanche and Northeast Goose Lake. There are a total of eight ranked runners in the field.

The Mid-Prairie boys come into the meet ranked No. 7 in class 2A. The Golden Hawks do not have any ranked runners in their lineup. They will be joined at the meet by No. 1 Tipton, No. 3 Monticello and No. 12 Camanche, along with Iowa City Regina, West Branch, West Liberty, Durant, Wilton, North Cedar, Cascade, Anamosa, Bellevue and Northeast Goose Lake. There are 12 ranked runners in the boys field. Action begins tonight at 4:30 in Iowa City.
