Davis County comes into the game with an overall record of 2-5. In their last game, they beat Albia 59-49 a week ago. Gavin McCall had 259 yards and three touchdowns on 25 carries in the win. On the season the Mustangs are led by Carson Maeder through the air at 90 of 165 for 955 yards, 12 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He also leads the Mustang defense with 48 and a half tackles, four for loss and a pair of sacks. This week, Mid-Prairie head coach Pete Cavanagh broke down the matchup. “They have balance and a good running back. He rushed for over 200 yards last week. They quarterback is only a sophomore but he is very capable and has a good arm. We saw them on tape against Williamsburg and they looked good. They were in a shoot out last week against Albia, they scored a lot of points and won. Hopefully a lot of points tonight from our offense and our front five on defense are ready to go.”

These two teams met a season ago in Bloomfield with Mid-Prairie taking a 33-6 win. The Golden Hawks will honor nine seniors before the game.
