The Columbus Wildcats are ready for their annual Homecoming game tonight when they take on the Wilton Beavers. Columbus comes into the game with an overall record of 1-7. They fell on the road to Sigourney-Keota last week 59-6. On the season the Wildcats are led by Bawi UK at 24 of 61 through the air for 479 yards, three touchdowns and eight interceptions. His favorite targets are Jonathan Gonzales and Tucker Bright with a combined 20 catches for 303 yards and five touchdowns. On the ground, Will Schwab has 97 carries for 363 yards and a pair of scores. Tucker Bright leads the Wildcat defense with 45 and a half tackles, four for loss and a sack.
Wilton comes into the game with an overall record of 1-6. Last time out they were beaten by Mediapolis 60-6. On the year the Beavers are led by Mason Ormsby through the air at 71 of 135 for 872 yards, five touchdowns and nine interceptions. His favorite target is Colby Sawvell with 36 catches for 504 yards and three scores. On the ground Jackson Hull has 68 carries for 292 yards and a touchdown. The Wilton defense is led by Coy Baker with 37 tackles, three for loss. These two teams met a season ago with Wilton taking a 34-8 win. Action begins tonight at 7p.m. at Columbus High School.
