A new program will allow local students to explore the world of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) at Keota Schools. The district along with the Washington County Extension Office is presenting “Outbreak ALERT” a program offered every Monday in November from after school to 5 p.m. in the Keota Elementary Library. Students will become biomedical engineers and work to prepare for outbreaks of contagious diseases. Registrations are accepted on a first come, first serve basis until October 30th at the Keota Elementary Office. There is a $10 fee for the program. This is for students in fourth through sixth grade.
