The Washington volleyball team ended the regular season strong with a four set win over Columbus Community on senior night.

All nine Demon seniors played and they came out fired up with a set one win 25-12 and set two was 25-18. The Wildcats made it a match taking the third set 25-12, but the Demons would not be denied finishing it off with a 25-15 victory in the fourth. Head Coach Lexa Mahr talked about the emotions that come with senior night. “It’s emotional for quite a few of us. This is the first group that I have coached throughout their entire high school career. Having them stick through the program and be dedicated was awesome to watch. They are definitely going to be missed.” Demon seniors include Hannah Anderson, Samantha Farmer, Kara Poeschel, Olivia Pacha, Addison Six, Kaitlyn Mitchell, Macy Driscoll, Alexa Mitchell, and Kinsey Duwa.

The Wildcats end the regular season 6-22 and gear up for the first round of regionals October 28th at Regina. Washington is 11-22 and they have their first round playoff game on Wednesday at Pella.
