The week seven cross country rankings have been released by the Iowa Track and Field Coaches Association. The Mid-Prairie girls remain in the top spot in class 2A in Iowa for the seventh week in a row. The Golden Hawk girls are fresh off of another River Valley Conference team championship on Tuesday in Iowa City, led by four runners in the top 10 including individual conference champ Marie Hostetler. The Hawks have four ranked runners in their lineup led by Hostetler at No. 1, Mitzi Evans No. 8, Abbagail Evans No. 17, and Ana Fleming No. 25.

The Mid-Prairie boys fell one spot in the poll to No. 8 this week. They were jumped by Danville-New London who beat the Hawks head-to-head at Hillcrest Academy a little over a week ago. Last time out the Golden Hawk boys finished fourth in Iowa City at the RVC Championships on Tuesday, led by a 10th place finish for Jamison Stutzman. The Mid-Prairie boys and girls will next be in action at the state qualifier meet.
