Columbus Community celebrated homecoming last week, but it was spoiled on Friday night by the Wilton football team in a 44-0 defeat.

The Wildcats had a tough time stopping Mason Ormsby, as he tallied three rushing scores on the day. Columbus found some rhythm in the short passing game and freshman Jeff Hoback finished nine of 13 for 50 yards. Will Schwab was back carrying the rock 13 times for 71 yards. Tucker Bright led the defense with nine tackles and Mason Hodges recovered a fumble.

Columbus falls to 1-8 and they close out the year Friday at Wapello.
