Four area cross country teams ran at Big Hollow Thursday in the final meet of the regular season. Top area finish came from the Hillcrest Academy girls team with 98 points in fourth place. Pekin won the meet with 26 points. The Ravens were led by Leah Bontrager and her individual runner-up finish in a time of 19:57. Other finishers for the Ravens included Sarena Gerber 15th, Chloe Staley 37th, Taryn Leichty 39th, Julia Boller 41st, and Ainsley Shaw 60th.

The Highland girls did not post a team score but were led by Madi Thomann in fourth with a time of 21:49. Other finishes for the Huskies included Fiona Mahler 26th, Alli Brand 33rd, and Katlyn Waters 57th. The Lone Tree girls did not post a team score, they were led by Natalie Patterson in 19th with a time of 23:49. WACO also did not post a team score. The Warriors were led by Grace Conwell in 32nd place with a time of 25:35. Other finishers for the Warriors included Makenzie Shelman 49th, Hannah Dennis 52nd, and Mackenzie Vradenbur 55th.

On the boys side of the meet, top area finish went to Lone Tree in sixth with 167 points. Pekin won the meet with 24 points. The Lions were led by Alberto Cortes in 14th with a time of 19:47. Other finishers for the Lions included Nick Saltzman 25th, Cale Christofferson 39th, Ethan Willox 60th and Blake Honeycutt 64th.

The Hillcrest Ravens were seventh with 183 points. Top finish came from Colby Harris in 24th with a time of 20:42. Other finishers for the Ravens included Will Kolck 30th, Owen Swartzendruber 41st, Collin Miller 54th and Jesse Slater 70th.

WACO did not post a boys team score. The Warriors were led by Jonah Egli in eighth with a time of 19 minutes. Other finishers for the Warriors included Tanner Conwell 33rd, and Mattias Luitjens 73rd. The Highland Huskies also did not post a team score. Top Highland finish came from Jacob Roling in 45th with a time of 22:29. Other Highland finishers included Matt Butler 74th and Noah Holden 75th.
