The Winfield-Mt. Union volleyball team couldn’t find their footing last night in a class 1A first round regional game and saw their season come to a close against Burlington Notre Dame (18-18).

The Nikes won in straight sets 25-19, 25-13, and 25-15. Anna Hudson and Jami Wilkerson led the offense with four kills apiece and Kayla Edwards had nine assists. Keetyn Townsley was eight of nine serving and Wilkerson recorded 15 digs.

The Wolves end the season 18-13 overall and 6-2 in the SEISC. Expect them to be strong again next year, as Hudson is the only player lost to graduation.
