The Keota volleyball team is moving on in the postseason after a three game sweep of Tri-County at home in the first round of regionals.
The Eagles lost to the Tigers in September, but got their sweet revenge Tuesday with set scores of 25-13, 25-15, and 25-22. Addison Swanson was a big reason why leading the team with nine kills and nine digs. Makenzie Jackson chipped in with seven assists and Macie McDonald had six. The team was 57 of 72 serving with 18 aces. Head Coach Sky Hahn tells KCII Sports the team played much better than their first meeting with the Tigers. “We played a lot cleaner and were crisp with our moves. We are a complete different team than the first time we played them and it was a learning lesson for us. The girls moved forward and put it to action on Tuesday.”
The Eagles are now 5-16 and travel to New London (27-8) for the second round on Monday.
