A Fairfield company has acquired a Galesburg, Illinois foundry and is consolidating the two businesses. Faircast, Inc. has acquired Galesburg Castings Inc. Manufacturing operations of both companies will be consolidated to Fairfield. Faircast is expanding with the acquisition and brings the company a step closer to a major modernization that includes new molding lines and sand systems. The Fairfield Iron foundry has roots back to 1903 and Galesburg Castings Inc. was founded in 1994, producing iron castings.
