Safely dispose of expired, unused, or unwanted prescription drugs this Saturday. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Washington Police Department and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration are teaming up to offer a free, safe, anonymous disposal of potentially dangerous medications and help prevent pill abuse.
This will also be the first time the DEA is accepting vaping devices and cartridges during a Take Back Day. Lithium ion batteries cannot be accepted and should be removed prior to drop-off. Pills or patches can be dropped off at the Washington United Presbyterian Church Saturday between 10 a.m. and noon. Liquids, needles, or sharps cannot be accepted.
If you’re unable to go this weekend, there’s also a drop box at the Washington County Jail available 24 hours a day.
