Sigourney defeated North Mahaska on the volleyball court earlier in the year, but the Warhawks had the final laugh with a four set win in the first round of a class 1A regional.

The Savages got in a hole early dropping the first two sets 25-13 and 25-17. They continued to battle and squeaked out a 25-23 win in the third, but the Warhawks finished it off with a 25-17 win in set four. Heidi Clarahan led the Savages with seven kills, Brookelynn Hemsley had 19 assists, and Madelynn Hornback recorded 14 digs.

The Warhawks are 16-11 and advance to play WACO on Monday. Sigourney concludes the year at 7-19 and say goodbye to seniors Clarahan, Shelby Stein, and Makenna Hammes.
