The Washington volleyball season came to a close on Wednesday when the Demons fell to Pella in the first round of a class 4A regional.
The Lady Dutch jumped out of the gates winning the first two sets 25-17 and 25-16. They had the Demons on the ropes with match point, but Washington would not go down without a fight and squeaked out a 26-24 win in set three. Pella ended the match in the fourth with a 25-10 victory. Addison Six capped off her high school career with 14 kills and seven digs. Kinsey Duwa assisted on 11 Demon points and Kaitlyn Mitchell recorded eight digs. The team was strong in serving connecting on 54 of 57 attempts including seven aces.
The Demons close the year 11-23 and lose nine players to graduation including Six, Duwa, Kaitlyn and Alexa Mitchell, Hannah Anderson, Samantha Farmer, Macy Driscoll, Olivia Pacha, and Kara Poeschel.
