Learn more about owls and get into the Halloween spirit with an evening hike in Louisa County. Louisa County Conservation is hosting Owl Prowl, an event to learn about owls commonly found in the area and their adaptations for being active at night as well as their unique vocalizations. A grant from the Iowa Ornithologists Union is sponsoring the event that is free and open to the public. The grant is also helping to create an owl nest box project at Eden Park. Children must be accompanied by an adult at Owl Prowl. Learn more about owls Tuesday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Eden Park, northwest of Columbus Junction at 17426 County Road X17, Columbus Junction.
