halloween-2017

Bundle up in your costumes and trick-or-treat around the Washington square this Halloween. The Chamber of Commerce is hosting the annual Trick-or-Treat Around the Square from 5-7:30 p.m. Thursday with area businesses handing out candy and teal pumpkin locations will have toys. Washington Chamber of Commerce Event Coordinator Alisha Davis says there’s also a costume contest downtown, “I’m very excited. I love to see all of the costumes. And I’ll be going around taking photos. And the library is doing a costume contest, so that will be really fun this year. Just excited for Halloween!” There will also be games and activities inside the YMCA, pony rides, hayrack rides, and food all for free. Enjoy the spooky music in Central Park provided by the KCII Big Red Radio. Davis says last year was a record-setting year with about 1,200 people in attendance.
