The Golden Hawk varsity cross country programs weren’t the only ones to make noise at the state level in 2019. The Mid-Prairie Middle School teams found a lot of success in Ankeny at the Washburn Classic State Meet. The Golden Hawk’s Danielle Hostetler won the meet with her time of 12:03. Teammate Abby Fleming was second overall in 12:57. Other Mid-Prairie runners included Annika Poll 37th, Greta Sieren 39th and Kailey Warnstaff 50th. Mid-Prairie finished third as a team with a score of 61 points, behind state champion Williamsburg and second place Jesup.
