A man has been charged with terrorism and burglary after a shooting in Mt. Pleasant. According to the Mt. Pleasant Police Department, at 7:38 a.m. Tuesday a shooting was reported in a room at the Heidelburg Motel. Officers with the Mt. Pleasant Police Department, Iowa Department of Transportation, and Henry County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. A suspect vehicle was seen leaving the area and stopped at the Pilot truck stop. Officers took 45-year-old David Stott into custody. One victim was taken to the Henry County Health Center for treatment of minor injuries. Stott was taken to the Henry County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
