An effort to fund a new Keota pool failed at the polls Tuesday. Residents of Keota voted on a public measure for a loan agreement and the issue of general obligation capital loans not to exceed $1.18 million to construct a new pool. According to unofficial results from the Keokuk County Auditor’s Office, 60% of the voters opposed the measure. There were 292 total votes with 116 in favor and 176 opposed.
