One club’s efforts to help patients and families at the Stead Family Children’s Hospital at the University of Iowa and the Ronald McDonald House was recognized by Washington County 4-H. The 2019 Community Service Award was presented to the Crooked Creek 4-H Club. The club’s community service project included packing and donating 219 toiletry bags. The club members made donation boxes, collected items, packaged bags, and delivered them at the University of Iowa. As part of the award, the club received $50 to go towards their next community service project.
