A man wanted out of Washington County for a felony charge was in the Henry County Jail. On Friday, authorities were notified that 22-year-old Brandon James Ferdig of Washington was in the Henry County Jail. Ferdig was wanted on a Washington County warrant for a pretrial release violation on the original charges of forgery and theft in the second degree. In Iowa, theft in the second degree is a class D felony and is the theft of property between $1,000 and $10,000 in value or the theft of a motor vehicle. Bond was set at $10,000. The initial incident happened on July 1st in Washington County when Ferdig tried to cash a check that had not been written out to him.
