Their 17 interceptions were second most in the state, their 13 fumble recoveries were fifth in Iowa. The pass defense was led by Brady Duwa who led Iowa with nine interceptions on the year and 192 return yards on those picks, second most in the state. Dawson Baumert led SK with four fumble recoveries, third most in the state. Top turnover game for the Cobras this year was their season opener when they had seven takeaways in a win over rival Pekin. The Cobras ended the season with a plus 22 turnover margin.
