Soon the twinkle of Christmas lights will be seen as holiday decorations go up, and that includes the downtown Washington district. Each year white LED lights outline the tops of the buildings around the square. The Washington Chamber of Commerce organizes and funds the lights and Event Coordinator Alisha Davis says this year look for even more as they are extended to the ‘super square’ or one block further each direction, “So, that’s going to be really something neat to look for this year.” The Washington County Board of Supervisors approved adding those lights to the roofline of the courthouse. Weather depending, those lights will be added this season or next.
