Insurance, property site plans, TIF, and parking await the Washington City Council on their agenda for the next meeting. The health insurance renewal for city employees will be considered with a 5.81% increase in premium to the city. A site plan for TOMA Properties, the Cargill plant on the east side of town will be considered. The change would be the addition of a 40-foot by 60-foot section to the current building to increase the operations and storage area of the facility. The minor site plan has been reviewed by the Planning and Zoning Commission. A reading for a TIF ordinance for the Washington Business Park will be held, as well as the second reading to update downtown parking. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Washington Public Library.
