Cali Wilson’s journey on NBC’s The Voice came to an end Tuesday night. As the field of singers went from 13 to 11, Wilson did not receive the votes to move to the next round. Monday night each of the performers sang and then America voted. On Tuesday’s episode, the top 10 singers automatically advanced and the bottom three performed again in hopes of getting the save vote. A five-minute period allowed public votes, but Wilson wasn’t selected.

In an earlier round, Wilson sang “Wicked Game” by Chris Izaak. According to Billboard, after her performance the song reached number one on a chart for the first time ever. In 1991, it reached No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100. It reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Rock Digital Song Sales in early November.

The Salem-native now lives in Nashville, Tennessee where she is pursuing music and managing a kick-boxing gym. She is a 2009 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. Throughout her time on the show, Wilson thanked southeast Iowa for the support she received.
